The Cloud World Forum 2014 proudly worked in partnership with the Computer Weekly European User Awards for Enterprise Software, which honoured IT professionals in Europe who excelled in their approach to business software and information management.
Entries demonstrated innovation in areas such as open source, software development, financial, customer or cloud applications. In addition businesses which had shown innovation in database and business application management, including big data, content management, business intelligence / analytics and data warehousing projects to improve efficiency and achieve cost savings, were able to enter. Other examples of entries included MDM integration and data quality governance strategies.
The winners of the Computer Weekly Awards 2014 were announced at the Olympia National in Central London at the end of Day One of Cloud World Forum (17th June) in a joint ceremony with the Cloud World Series Awards.

Judging process and judging criteria:
Entries were open to IT departments and resellers or vendors that wished to enter on behalf of a customer. A panel of independent judges, based in Europe, reviewed the nominations. Nominating companies were not be able to contact the judges but they provided contact details of the IT project manager so that the judges could get further details on the submissions if necessary.
Entries were based on supporting evidence that covered the following:
Customers, peers, resellers, VARs or vendors were invited to submit user case studies. Vendors, resellers and VARs alerted their customers to the awards, if they opted to submit on their behalf, as the customer needed to be available for comment if announced as a winner. The IT user needed to be available for interview by Computer Weekly for an article about their winning project.
