Neira Jones, Chairman, Centre for Strategic Cyberspace & Security Science

With more than 20 years in financial services, Neira has directed many global change programmes, launched new products/services & managed process reengineering practices.

She believes in change through innovation, team work & collaborative partnerships. She enjoys business turnaround initiatives & anything compelling in the digital space. Formerly Director of Payment Security & Fraud at Barclaycard, she was responsible for security compliance & risk management of circa 100K customers & 3rd parties, incl. PCI DSS as well as developing innovative fraud offerings.

It has been her mission to demystify information security & she is regularly invited to speak to various audiences across industries & regions. She is the proud recipient of the Acquiring Personality of the Year 2013 Award from Merchant Payments Ecosystem, SC Magazine Information Security Person of the Year Award 2012, was inducted to the Infosecurity Europe 2011 Hall of Fame and voted to the Top 10 Most Influential People in Information Security by SC Magazine & ISC2 in 2010.

She was the PCI Security Standards Council Board of Advisors for 4 years until May 2013, has been appointed Chairman, Cybercrime Advisory Board for the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science and sits on various other advisory boards.
